Wedding Skincare

As a wedding make-up artist focusing on a natural and radiant (in person and on camera), here are my solid basics for bridal skincare preparation. Follow these simple steps and you’re guaranteed to see skin improvements in no time.

Double cleanse in the evening, incorporate a flannel – double cleansing involves removing everything that’s on the skin firstly with an oil-based cleanser or serum before repeating the process with a deeper water-based cleanser. I’ve included my top recommended products below so read on!

Acid tone a few times a week, apply with a cotton pad - this helps to remove any dead skin cells and will even out skin tone.

Hydrate with an essence followed with moisturiser- Think of this as a moisture injection for the skin.

Wear a dedicated facial SPF 50every day and all year round - Findone you love, wear it diligently. And yes, I really do mean every single day!You can thank me later.

Bridal Make-Up Tips for the Season

It goes without saying – brides getting married in different seasons will have different needs. Here a few hints and tricks for make-up throughout the seasons…

Summer Brides:

A pretty paper hand fan is the perfect way to cool you (and your makeup) on a hot wedding day.

Winter Brides:

Cold temperatures and central heating can dehydrate skin, which can make foundation patchy. Focus on layers of hydration with mists, essences sealed in with a moisturiser.
